Hacienda Launches an Annual Park-Wide
Community Giving Campaign!

Hacienda Helping Hands 2008-2009

Kaiser Permanente Leads the Way with $25,000 Gift,
joined by a growing list of Hacienda companies

Community involvement is a vital part of the vision and
commitment of Hacienda Business Park.  To advance the
park’s community involvement objectives, Hacienda is
launching a new community giving initiative – the
Hacienda Helping Hands campaign – conducted in
partnership with the Tri-Valley Community Foundation, a
long-time member of the community and a Hacienda
tenant.

The Tri-Valley Community Foundation will coordinate the
campaign for the park and conduct the
Hacienda
Helping Hands annual grants program
, which will benefit
local charities that serve children, youth, families, and
seniors in the community; educational projects;
environmental initiatives; and cultural arts programs.

What is Hacienda Helping Hands?

Hacienda Helping Hands is a community-benefit charitable
campaign supported by contributions from Hacienda
companies and affiliates.  Proceeds of the annual
campaign are used to make grants to health and human
service organizations, educational programs, and cultural
projects in our Tri-Valley communities, where Hacienda
employees live and work.

How does participating in Hacienda
Helping Hands benefit park companies?

Giving back to the community is good for companies.
Employees come to work for companies, and stay with
companies, that give back.  Customers like doing business
with companies that give back.  Corporate and
government partners respect companies that make
community giving part of the way they do business.

Participating companies will receive prominent recognition
in Hacienda Business Park publications, in the local media,
and at a campaign celebration with local government and
community leaders.

In addition, participating companies will have access to
promotional materials for the Hacienda Helping Hands
grants program, as a single source for referring and
responding to the many requests for donations that park
companies receive each year.

Is there a minimum gift amount?

There is no minimum gift amount.  We challenge companies
to make a generous contribution to the campaign in
recognition of the many unmet needs here in the Tri-Valley.
Hacienda Helping Hands is a great opportunity to channel
a company’s community giving into a single campaign that
will benefit many deserving local charities.

“We believe that it is in our best interest to promote a
business culture that values giving back to the
community.  We’d like to challenge all park
companies to participate in the Hacienda Helping
Hands campaign and help meet the park’s objectives
of greater community involvement.”

James Paxson
General Manager, Hacienda Business Park
“Because the average income in the Tri-Valley is high,
our public schools, local hospitals, and city human
service and cultural programs typically do not qualify
for additional state and federal funds to meet critical
needs and support community development.  By
working together as a team, Hacienda companies can
help vital health and human service organizations and
cultural arts groups in our community thrive, enriching
the lives of all of us who live and work here.”
